I purchased the silver Lumiere bracelet ($50) using a $50 voucher I received after spending around $1200 on a gold necklace plus charms to commemorate my late father, so the bracelet was technically 'free', just paying postage.
With only 3 sizes to choose from, I chose the largest after measuring my wrist. I knew it was going to be close which was fine but when I received the bracelet and tried it on, it didn't fit at all, and my wrists are pretty average sized. It's fine, I don't necessarily care about the bracelet itself as I wanted to use the voucher but not spend any extra money given I'd spent so much already, and knew that if the bracelet didn't fit given its tiny length, I could gift it to someone.
My issue is that the biggest sized bracelet isn't actually 'big' at all... the amount of people who would not be able to fit the 'biggest size' would surely outweigh those who didn't, and this to me just wreaks of size inclusivity issues.
I get it, small businesses can't always stock or provide heaps of sizes but I sit and wonder... surely you can do better. It's 2025, fatphobia isn't cool. Especially when you're also selling bracelets that cost thousands of dollars in only 3 or 4 tiny sizes, are they for children?! Or just tiny adults... because you seemingly don't want anyone who is larger wearing your jewellery.
It's disappointing because I want to support small businesses but it's too hard when I don't feel welcome because I'm 'too big' to fit anything you sell. I'm glad the bracelet was free, I've just got to find a tiny human it will fit to gift it to.
